Barren is a team entry to the VR Jam 2015 presented by Oculus. The idea is to make a game or experience within a month with the chance to win one of a number of prizes. We entered as a learning experience about VR design and implementation rather than to win as we all have full-time work and commitments.
The prototype is part exploration and part simulator with the objective to grow a forest on a barren planetoid and unlock new seeds once one of the plants fully matures and reveals its fruits or seeds. This in turn unlocks new planting opportunity within the virtual interface.
